Every year, 10th September is observed World Suicide Prevention Day and Mpower takes a solemn vow of working together to prevent suicide by spreading awareness. Words have the power to hurt, and also the power to heal. The #SayItRight campaign draws attention to a serious concern in society– suicide, which is one of the leading causes of death among young adults globally.

The neglect of mental health is evident from a World Health Organization report which estimated that 50 million Indians suffered from depression. The situation is particularly grim in our country where almost 30% of population of the country consists of children in the age group between 0 and 14 years.
